Would not start
May be a simple answer: 2009 E350 Original battery 46,000 miles.
This morning car would not start, just clicking.
Clock running backwards then running forwards and resetting.
First time this has happened.
Original battery, received jump, holds charge, no light on battery.
Do I buy a new battery?

Yup! aux and main systems battery, your aux is under your fresh a/c filter in your engine bay. Re-normalize everything and set your clock and you'll be A okay!

He has an 09 no aux battery.
As Plutoe said you need to do a proper test of the battery to determine if it is in need of replacement or not.
How long had car sat? Possible you left something on/open?
