One Day to Go

One day to go until my car arrives at the Dealership. I am informed that it may well take a week until I finally receive it.

I have drooled over many of the superb pictures of various members cars and hopefully look forward to when I can attach a picture of my own. Tealite Blue with Palma Grey leather interior.

Regards to you all,
John

Congrats!

I'm jealous. I want a 320 CDI Estate as well. Too bad we don't even know if it will be offered here, and at least in Massachusetts it wont be available until 2007 even if they offer it in the US (emissions problems).

Thanks for the posts, the 7 days they have asked for is because of a number of options that they have to fit, but I shall be asking why they want 7 days.

Regarding the CDI being exported, and running the risk of delving into internal US matters, it is a pity that you are still using such a high polluting type of diesel. When the CDI is first started the smell coming from the exhaust is something of a 'scented' smell. I am no scientist, but I believe it has something added and also the catalytic converter.

We cannot buy the 400CDI over here, but reading all the reviews of it, the engine sounds a fantastic piece of machinery. Diesel engines have entered the 21st century with gusto and are certainly not the smoke belching noisy engines of the past. My previous 320CDI averaged over 35 m.p.g and it could allegedly travel at speeds in excess of 140mph. 0 - 62.5mph in 8.1sec

I wish you luck in acquiring this great engine.

Regards,
John

I have seriously considered importing a 320 CDI Estate (wagon here) in case they don't offer it. Since the sedan will be available it shouldn't cost too much to federalize, but it would certainly be a lot more money and troublesome.

I hope I don't have to do that.

Enjoy your car!

Best of luck! I picked mine up on 1/15; it was the most exciting day I'd had in a while. I hope it's as good for you.
