damn. This model doesn't have anything fun. I can't change the "drivers distraction mode" to watch dvds, can't do lots of things but drive. lesson learned. I will do more research b4 I purchase my next benz.. lol. oh well. I still love my car.

dam, a 2007 though. The struggle is real.... You have a local indy shop you can run to around your way? That may be your best bet, however if you go to a dealer, have them diagnose it, write a estimate, pay 1hr checkout fee and go to a indy to do the repairs, so you know for sure what exactly is wrong. Those indy's can be suspect at times thats the only reason i stated the dealership method.

First off, I'm a lot smarter than you think, Honcho. I'm not one of those idiots behind the wheel who texts and doesn't pay attention on the road. If anything I agree with you. The reason why I'm asking about the DVD player is for the 2 kids I take care of. The distraction is for them, but i did go buy a portable dvd player for them. Don't get me wrong, I know I have drive the most engineered machine on the planet.. Like I said I love my car. I'm just curious about looking up hidden codes like other folks can w their w211. AGAIN just CURIOUS! Lol! Lol!

Did you check to see if it had the balance shaft problem? Hopefully you don't and if you do, the warranty takes care of it.
