W211 2009 E350
New to mbworld
Hello everyone. New to this site and hoping to get some information about some wheels. I just bought a 2009 (W211) E350 with AMG sports package. Very happy with the car. Compared to my Jeep it is very comfortable and fuel efficient. It took me two days to clean it since the dealer did not detail it. Just a quick wash and some wax. I had to wax the car several times, polish the exhaust tips and clean the engine compartment. Anyways, looking for some information regarding the car.
1. My command nav dvd does not work and either plan to have it diagnosed or replace with another unit from a salvage yard. how hard is it to remove the unit and should I just go ahead and replace it with aftermarket? Tips?
2. My wheels all have curb rash. I'm in the market for some 19 inch rims and tires. Information on proper offset and tire size to make it flush without modification on the suspension and ride height will be greatly appreciated. The car will mainly be used for weekends and vacations with my wife and two kids.
Thank you in advance for any input and have a good 4th of July weekend.

What error do you get for the nav? Is there a dvd in the player that's in the trunk? If it is and you need to replace it it's really easy to slide out the unit and get a replacement via eBay.
I don't know about 19" but I put stock e55 on my e500 and 255/40 F and 285/40 R which seem to be what ppl are running if you like the flush or even a bit of bulge, which I prefer over the stretch look
