Power Seat Switch Broken

My passenger side power seat switch will not move the seat forward or backward. The tilt and headrest adjustments work fine, however,

The slide switch seems a bit loose. Also, the memory function will move it forward and backward to the pre-set points, but no manual adjustment.

Is this an easy DIY fix or an expensive fix at the dealer?

Thanks.

How difficult is it to remove the door panel? Do I have to disconnect the battery to keep the airbag from deploying in my face? Any instructions?

Most definetly disconnect the battery and purchase a set of plastic wedges to use in prying off the panel---and make sure you purchase extra plastic clips(dealer part)because you will brake a couple.

Look to you tube there are loads of vids on the subject!!

I did this today and it went pretty smoothly. It took me just over an hour, and a good 10-15 minutes of that involved trying to disconnect the connector from the door. I just can't seem to figure out how to disconnect these MB connectors. In any event, I figured there was enough slack in the wire to remove the door panel with the connector still connected, and there was. I had bought 7 replacement clips in case any of they broke, and I ended up using two of them.

Thanks to everyone for the tips.

If anyone has any advice on how to disconnect MB connectors in general, that would be helpful for future reference.
