Someone Please Help me out with this. i would highly appreciate it.

So i've owned my 2005 e55 for about 3 years, a couple weeks ago i'm on the freeway. There is a complete lack of power. the acceleration is slow and weak. flooring the car results in a jerking motion after it shifts gears.

When the car gets low on fuel (fuel light comes on, it starts to stutter badly) like it is choking up and cant breathe

I replaced the IC pump and the problem still persists. I'm still not aware of what it is exactly, and its becoming extremely frustrating.

has anyone else experienced this mess? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked fuel pressures? How many miles?

sounds like a fuel pump to me. Go to your local mb dealership and say you smell fuel.... You'll get a brand new tank sending units/pressure regulators. Covered under warranty.

dealer just called me. They said it was getting low fuel pressures during acceleration.

looks like you guys nailed it. thanks for the replies!

Although they might not cover it, i would have to pay out of pocket for the repairs.
