Bluetooth Audio Merc E Class 09 model

OK! I'm getting kind of fed up and have resorted to your help.

I'm unable to get the Audio Bluetooth working with my iphone 6. Normal telephone bluetooth works fine and it recognises the device....

I've gone into the engineer mode and enabaled the obvious things however when I'm going into Media and trying to connect it sees the iphone device but it's unable to connect.

I've tried forgetting the device on the iphone and on the command system also but still having the same issue!

Can anyone help please?

I do not believe its possible to stream audio from you phone wirelessly with w/e radio these cars have. Mine has an ipod cable in the glove box for an older style iphone/ipod connector.

I bought a device called tune2air for about $100 that plugs into the ipod connector in the glovebox, and its pairs with my phone (iPhone6) and allows me to stream music wirelessly.

It also displays what song I'm listening to in the speedometor screen and allows me to use the steering wheel controls to skip to the next song, or backwards, etc.

Best $100 mod I've done so far. I also have a 2008 ford focus that was able to do all this stock, a bit surprised that a newer mercedes couldn't do this from the factory.

I'm pretty sure you can... if you go under the engineers option you can enable it. My problem is that it doesn't pair and I saw on another forum a couple of people were having a similar problem but decided to start my own thread up.

If you hold down * # and I think it's 1 you'll discover a new world!

But if anyone can help that would be great.

If i'm not mistaken bluetooth audio streaming wasn't available until 2010. NTG 4 i'f i am not mistaken was the first to have this option. 212's and newer E's have it, but the 211 chasis did not. I may be wrong but I only thought talking on the phone via bluetooth was the only thing we could do....

There were some old threads that said you could enable bluetooth through star diagnostic as Mercedes had disabled it. There's a few other options that you can play with if you have access to a star system.
