Central Locking

Hi, need some advice....

My central locking only opens when I point the key towards the driver side sensor. I can't seem to open or close the doors from anywhere else.

I've done the reset on the key and that's not made any difference either... and changed the battery.

Any recommendation or hidden sensors that may be faulty?

install tint recently?

Usually this issue is the key or the antenna amp.
Reset on the key? what is that never heard of resetting a key?
Tried spare key if you don't have one get one?

The second key has the same issue... have to walk over to the driver side to open the car.
Have changed the battery on both keys but same issue.

I don't think it's resetting the key, but it's holding the open and close button together.

Is there a sensor located anywhere else? Could it be a sensor? I haven't had tints done... the issue if I have to directly point at the door and get quite close.

Any ideas what else it could be?

Holding the lock and unlock just changes if one door opens or all of them.

Since second key has the same issue that would lead us to believe it is on the car side. As I said before antenna amp would be suspect how is the radio working? Any collision repairs ever?

Car's just been in for a service and all fine with the motor never had any major work...

Radio works fine to be honest... or haven't noticed. If I do notice something what could that lead to?

Sorry one more stupid question where can I find the antenna amp ?

most likely its the antenna amp thats gone bad. this are known to fail from time to time. im not sure if you can have it checked first but id prefer to do that before getting parts. goodluck and hope you sort out your problem soon!

I had the same problem a few weeks back. I replaced the fuse and all was well. I believe it is fuse #8 in the trunk. A 7.5 fuse. I used the replacement fuse from the set provided by MB.

Good luck.
