Seat disassembly and parts help??
I guess from someone getting in and out of the back seat, the corner of my driver's seat map pocket broke.
Driver's side seat back.
Map pocket torn away from seat and frame broken.
Looks like the plug or whatever it was broke off. It has a hole in the center so maybe there was a screw holding it from the other side.
I've searched online and found instructions how to disassemble other parts of the car but can't find any instructions as to how to disassemble the seat, or even just to remove the map pocket. Anyone know of any?
Also, I've searched the EPC and can't find the parts breakdown of the seat, so I'm not sure if I can order the map pocket separately. Anyone know if that's possible?
I know the easy answer is "upholstery shop" but I live in a small town, and I like to do stuff like this myself if I can.

Well... I figured out how to remove the back. Pretty simple. It's held in by two torx screws on the bottom, and then remove the lumbar support handle and slide it up and off it comes!
Of course, the map pocket is melted in, for lack of a better term, to the seatback, so it's not an easy fix:
Each of those black dots are the pins melted to form bolt heads.
The odd thing is that the part number also comes up as a C320 seatback... more than for a W211... so I guess they share that part.

OK... solution found... maybe temporary, but fingers crossed!
I drilled a small hole in what was left of the plastic stump on the cargo/map pocket and then used a small screw and some washers (didn't have a short enough screw at home) and fastened it to the seatback.
A melted "nut".
My inelegant, but hopefully functional, solution.
