interior chrome peeling off
the quote unquote "chrome" plastic piece on the sunglasses drawer is peeling. wondering if this has happened to anyone else? i'm really not understanding why MB is asking $60,000 for this car.
the chrome lines in the car are white plastic with a paint or coating that looks like chrome.

What's the build date of your car? My E500 is a 9/02 build (including, I assume, a summer sitting in the blazing Sacramento sun on the dealer's lot before we bought it in 9/03) and I haven't noticed any sign of the pseudo-chrome, um, "pealing", off the plastic.
To answer your question, MB asks $60,000 for the car because we are willing to pay that much for it. Whether we should have been willing to pay twice the price of a loaded Camry or Accord is a subject I don't really want to get into at this point, since "troll" is such an ugly word.

MB in Hong Kong is asking USD 75,000 for an E-240 Sport like mine. Can you believe it??
