Hesitation During Acceleration

My e320 seems to hesitates or lurches sometimes during acceleration after turning a corner. When I first got the car, acceleration and transmission appear to be very smooth. But I guess this adaptive transmission supposedly changed to my driving style (which, IMHO, is fast). If it did, I am certainly not pleased on how it adapted. I remember reading here about some bulletin that provided a software fix for this. Though the previous time I had my car in for service, they said the car was up-to-date on s/w revisions. Of course, this is the dealer that couldn't fix my broken heated steering wheel.

The reason I'm bringing this up again is that I recently got a C240 loaner at a different dealer (to fix my heater steering wheel). I was pleasantly surprised at its handling/acceleration. There was no lurching or hesitation. I'm curious on how others' cars are doing.

To the best of my knowledge, the following bulletins will address "all aspects" of your problem:

2/13/03 - P-B-07.00/28, Flashware - Engine control unit
12/3/03 - S-B-54.21/101, Flashware - ECM
12/18/03 - P-B-07.00/28e, Flasware - Engine control unit

BTW, don't readily assume that an update was performed simply because your vehicle was delivered after its release date.

Do these S/W Bulletins apply to the E500 as well?

Thanks!

Hesitation while accelerating

I am experiencing the very same problem on my 2003 E320. I had the same problem on my S500 and the fix was to replace the throttle position sensor. I suspect that will fix my E320 as well.
