Its a cup holder. Push down on the silver spot that says open.

W211 air brake, pressing "open" causes all 4 doors to open then you're supposed to stick your head out of the sunroof. Helps you slow down faster.

But really... I don't have this cup holder system so I'm not sure but is there an easy way of taking the module out without having it in the open conformation? Probably just better to replace
