front drivers seat won't move!!!
I disconnected the driver's seat to try a facelift seat, which didn't work and when I plugged it in made a massive spark and blew a few fuses. Now when I plugged the original seat back, it's not moving. I checked the fuses but it's still not working. The car is working and starts no problem. The door trim is removed from the door but I'm plugging the seat control directly into the door control module. The memory button works because the mirrors move if you push 1,2or3 but the seat controls don't.
What should I do, I should never have tried that facelift seat but now I'm kinda screwed...

You are mixing old technology with new technology. Your seat control/door control modules may not support one another. Coding may need to be change.d

Actually false alarm, one of the fuses was bad but it wasn't broken, the leads were just dirty.
Lesson: Check and recheck the common procedures when having an issue with anything because if I didn't play around with the fuses, I might have spent hundreds getting the issue diagnosed. I checked for broken fuses as would most people but even if the fuse isn't broken doesn't mean the connection is there, sometimes the metal corrodes for what ever reason and doesn't work.
By the way, I think it's not just a coding problem for the new seats, it's an electrical connection problem too because something in the "new" module is causing a short circuit and a blown fuse. They are completely incompatible. I'm sure there is a way to retrofit them but I don't know how. I wish I did, the new seats look nicer but honestly, I don't see a way. The frames fit but the motors are different and so are their connectors to the module in the seat which means you can't use the "old" module with the "new" seat frame/motors even though is does actually bolt up in the car.
