Strange vibrations | W211 | M271 | 722.6

Hello everyone,
very nice forum- it's really pleasure for me to be here
unfortunately I have also an issue with my Benz.
I know this engine (M271) is not so popular in US, but maybe you will have an advise for me what I could try

Problem description:

Strange vibrations, when slowing down. It happens almost always when I stopp the car- whathever gear is engaged- 1st or 2nd (depending on if driving on S/C). When the vibrations are observed, the rpm's go down for a while (once I stopp completely the idle is stable but the vibrations are still there).

What has been done so far:
- tranny oil flush Fuchs Titan 4134
- tranny mount replacement

I am not sure if the engine vetilation hoses are OK. I managed to check two of them and they seem to be ok, but the one which is very close to the kompressor I couldn't.

Any suggestions? It's really annoying issue.
Many thanks in advance.

Have you replaced your engine mounts? Those 4 cylinder engine naturally vibrate alot. A lot more the a V-block or straight 6. I am not sure but if i'm not mistaken the 271 motor doesn't have a balance on the back of the block to help with the vibrations. I think the newer 4 cylinder t/c motors do though.

cmriv, thanks a lot for your reply and the advice.
actually I didn't replace the engine mounts, but will check them.
today I checked both flex discs- both are bad, there are big cracks and will replace them, not sure if they could cause suchintermittent vibrations, any idea?
