07' 4matic - front differential bearing noise

So I think I've finally figured out the humming/grinding noise in the front end. See number 9 in the attached picture...

Now, my reason for creating this thread is, has anyone replaced this on their own? I could not find such thing on the forum. Is it standard issue for all front 4matic vehicles? Or just the w203 and w211? (I noticed 4matics share same/similar components up front)

I've lifted each of the front wheels in the air and placed my hand at opposite sides of the sidewall of the tire to try and wobble the whole assembly. It seems tight on both sides. With the amount of noise coming into the cabin, I expected the wheel bearing to be a dead give away, but was surprised to find both front wheels tight.

Upon doing the oil change, I noticed the front diff had a little bit of moisture at the bottom. Not enough to drip onto the plastic undertray, but enough the the bottom was all wet. I wiped it clean.

Suggestions? I need to get to the bottom of this before the winter.

You need to first put the car in dyno mode and drive it on a lift. Everything else IMO is speculation. Just because a wheel bearing isn't loose doesn't mean it isn't bad....

I had similar dilemma on W210 4M that was making hard to locate noise at 80k miles.
Inspected wheels, CV joints and all look good, so took it to my professional friend for front differential repair,
Friend open the plug, stick his finger into oil and said differential looks perfect.
Long inspection found that CV joint basket was crack with boot and grease in perfect condition.
Those things can be a nightmare to pinpoint so I ditto the 1 million % sure.
