Hi all,

Time to replace the SBC unit. Anyone use an off -dealer solution in the DFW area? My indie has raised the price for this repair to $2k (was $1400 when I was quoted a few months ago) and won't install customer supplied parts.

If anyone did this, what did it cost and do you have the contact info? Very interested to hear any input. Thanks in advance!!

So I've seen a few posts about those who have done the SBC DIY with STAR. This is the next step for me as well. More to come.

I befriended one of indy technicians who is traveling with computer.
Doesn't have to be STAR, but his computer cost him $2500.
Would my time for SBC come, I would buy the pump on the net and call the guy for resetting.
You need extra car for that as it will take time.

Anyone know of SBC installers in the Washington DC/ Maryland / Va suburbs area? Dealer quotes at @$2K and indie about the same so far.
