P0336 code

If you need a new pump, go to your local dealer and complain of a fuel smell-before you do that tho, make sure everything is installed as it was so nothing looks fishy.....

not sure why the dealer put a cps in-rookie move.... DAS/Xentry will fool you sometimes- gotta think out of the box in some scenarios.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
The P0336 was a dummy code caused by continually cranking the car. I have one more test to do to confirm a bad fuel pump and that is to confirm the power is reaching the pump. I sprayed propane into the the air intake and the car started and ran for for 10 second and no codes were thrown. I found the pump and the sending unit accesses under the rear seats. and lo and behold the sending unit is leaking fuel so I have to change that anyway, so I'm going to change out the sending unit and the pump which will be easier that my Silverado. So my question is where is the fuel filter, is it in the sending unit. Thanks to you all for the help that you have given me. Im a decent mechanic but new to working on Mercedes.
