P0336 code

Got hit with a P0336 code this morning, car would just crank and not start. It's a 2007 E350. Replaced crankshaft sensor purchased from MB dealer, car still cracks but will not start. Going to start looking at fuel system tomorrow, can anyone tell me where the fuel pressure port is located. Any other suggestions would be appreciated

Checked wiring on CSP conditions are good still having crank no start condition. Also checked the fuel pressure and got a 0 reading, fuse and relay checked out good, do not hear fuel pump run when ignition is turn to start position.

If you have CPS code you might have to clear it first before the pump will activate.
Hook up fuel pressure gauge to confirm.

on a m272 vehicle, it is highly unlikely your cps is preventing your vehicle from starting-like 1 in 1000 is the likelyhood. However, remove your rear bench seat, get a 8mm socket-remove covers for sending units-with a rubber mallet or rubber hammer bang on the pump, one behind passenger seat, as you crank the vehicle. If it starts, you need a new pump....

If you need a new pump, go to your local dealer and complain of a fuel smell-before you do that tho, make sure everything is installed as it was so nothing looks fishy.....

and you have a cps code because you cranked the vehicle so many times and it didn't start....

not sure why the dealer put a cps in-rookie move.... DAS/Xentry will fool you sometimes- gotta think out of the box in some scenarios.

Yes I did cleared the code and had same result. Found a info on the "How To" section of the site that gives instructions on what could the causes for a crank/no start problem and how to properly trouble shoot each cause. I'm starting with the fuel pump because of the zero fuel pressure reading and the lack of response from the pump when ignition is turned on to the start position.

cmriv the P0336 was a dummy code caused by continually cranking the car. I have one more test to do to confirm a bad fuel pump and that is to confirm the power is reaching the pump. I sprayed propane into the the air intake and the car started and ran for for 10 second and no codes were thrown. I found the pump and the sending unit accesses under the rear seats. and lo and behold the sending unit is leaking fuel so I have to change that anyway, so I'm going to change out the sending unit and the pump which will be easier that my Silverado. So my question is where is the fuel filter, is it in the sending unit. Thanks to you all for the help that you have given me. Im a decent mechanic but new to working on Mercedes.

And you are aware about recall?
Reporting fuel smell at dealer should give you new tank for free.

No will check into recall.
