2007 Mercedes Benz E350 w/ Sport Package
The LED bulbs I found on ebay, and I did have to dremel out the metal retaining clips in my headlights to get them to fit because of the heatsink/fan on the back of them. If I had to do it all over again I would've just gone HID. I actually bought new retaining clips with the intention of switching them out to proper HID at some point.

Good stuff man, I'm going to be going with the same kit myself here in a couple of weeks. I'm running a Morimoto kit in the fog lights and it's been flawless. You should show us how you did your install once you're done!

Alright after a bruised up arm and a couple purchases after, my only tip on the Morimoto HID is this: Keep the stock bulb clips and basically just jam the HID light base in there, you don't have to file down or modify anything. This will make the clips bend outward but use a pliers to bend the two metal ears back. It shouldn't be that much hard but don't waste money buying those aftermarket ones. Haha nice dude! I love mine, and the CarMax warranty has already paid for itself.
In fact, I had more work done yesterday by my local MB dealer that involved a new tensioner and serpentine belt, plus a road-force wheel balancing and alignment since the new wheels went on.
Now comes the time to start prepping the car for show season, going to Euro District next month and still have interior bits to order!

Nice front page write up. I am bias however, IMO the w211 body style has really held up over the years and has that classic Mercedes Benz look. It has a lot of character that the newer models lack. In addition I think the best color on the w211 is white.

A big reason I picked my 211 was because it was calcite white along with its options list. You guys are all way too nice to me, I'm glad you like how I'm executing. I've got a few more things coming so I'll update as mods get added.

went out shooting a couple days this week... also dropped off my new carbon fiber trunk spoiler off for wet sanding and clear coat before installation next week.

got my carbon fiber rear spoiler installed this past week. Going to wash the car after work today and will post pictures of it. I freaking love how it looks! Euro District is this coming weekend in Indiana so pretty much just getting her ready for that.

hey guys,
been a while since I updated this thread. The car has actually spent probably 3-4 weeks over the past two or three months at the dealership for various items getting some warranty repairs. But now that it's back in action I'm ready to keep moving with the build.
I'm working with a local fabricator to have a custom intake system made similar to those by Fabtech but catered for my car. Will be full stainless steel that will be powdercoated gloss white with Spectre velocity stack filters. We're finalizing the design and all parts this weekend since we've already taken measurements and come up with a basic layout.
Once that's done it'll be a Eurocharged Performance tune and re-doing the exhaust and I'll probably be done until next year. Anyways, I'll keep posting as the intake comes together!
