Good for you. My E500 came in this last Wednesday and I was ready to pick it up... until I found out that it had the non-active headlight package on it. It was a shame to leave it and have to re-order... now I gotta wait another 10 weeks

How is it that you can get another car in 10 weeks? I ordered my car in July 2003 and its due in the US port on 3/3/04. Granted, they didn't start production of 04s until September and they had a lot of pent up demand for the new NAV system which wasn't available until 04 (other than the replacement cars). But still, 10 weeks?? That is amazing given it takes 6-8 weeks to ship and prep.

Dealer told me he could modify a car that was currently in production. If he had to order from scrach, it would have been June/July. I'm ordering a popular color, the brilliant silver, maybe that helps too.

Wink

And here I thought you were going to tell us that the good news is that you have just switched your car insurance and you have saved a bundle by going with GEICO.

You can't change options once a car that has started being built, but you can change options if it's more than 10 days (I think that's the cutoff) from the build date. However, depending on the changes you make, that can push back your build date as they have to line up parts, etc. I made a change about about 2 weeks before the build date. The change pushed back the build from decade 2 to decade 3 of January.
