Help needed diagnosing suspension / steering knocking sound
I've got a knocking noise from the front end of my 2004 w211 320cdi. There's a knocking when moving the steering wheel a small amount quickly from side to side when stationary and also when going over bumps at relatively slow speeds when the brake pedal is pressed and sometimes when coming off the brake pedal, again at slow speeds.
No knocking over bumps without the brake pedal pressed / general driving.
Sounds like it's the front left but difficult to tell properly. From reading up sounds like it could be lower ball joints, roll bar drop links or control arm bushes...
Car has done 135000 miles and not sure if any of the above have ever been replaced... Needs an alignment so now the ideal time to replace anything up front that needs doing.
Thanks in advance...
