Removed trunk dvd player, now I have no audio

Removed trunk dvd player, now I have no audio
Hello all,

I replaced my head unit with an aftermarket one, so I had no use for the dvd player with command navigation.

I did disconnect power and the fiber to the dvd player.

Is there a way to close this fiber/comm circuit without having the dvd player installed?

Now I'm getting a "check engine" light. Related?
