W211 options

I've finally convinced the wifey to upgrade to a new E-Class or CLK, both 320's. For the 211, are there options that are must-have's or one's that I can pass on? Bi-xenon's are a must. Are the appearance and HK options worth it?

Panorama sunroof and the solar fans are a cool option for San Diego. Probably have to special order though. Only the $300,000 Maybach offers the solar fans besides the Mercedes E.

hey sponger where do you live in SD? im in scripps...the options we liked the most are probably keylessgo, e2 package, hk, parktronic, and 6 cd changer. you can view videos on mbusa.com for some of the options, and it will explain exactly what they do. GL.

Hey Fred! Get the Appearance and Premium package if you're getting the E. If you get the appearance package, I'll even help you lower it by tricking the sensors. Just shoot me a message or call me if you want to see my car and the amenities that came with it.

In addition to the packages mentioned I would seriously consider the electronic trunk closer. Don't understand why it isn't standard equipment!

I'd have to concur on the premium and appearance packages. Good stuff and a slight break vs. ordering ala carte. We are adding a wood leather steering wheel and the car we chose happened to have parktronic. Have fun with your option anxiety.

Thanks for all of your responses...decisions, decisions. I also read the thread about the AMG appearance package and I'm drooling now. bmms8, I'm down the street from you in Poway. W211 Ryda is in Mira Mesa. We gotta hang sometime so I can check out your cars. That should help me decide on the options if I plan to go through this. Jeff, your car is

Premium package is way worth it. A lot of bang for the buck. Appearance depends on what you like, but I love it personally. If not Appearance, get the Lighting package instead.

Oh yeah, I more question....Will the 19's on my C fit the 211? Is the bolt pattern the same and will 235/35 front, 265/30 be okay?
I remember reading that 211's use 245/35 front and 275/30 rear.
