AC Temp Controls don't work
Now my temp controls have no effect on the vent air, which is 33-35 degrees all the time that the compressor is on.
I was procrastinating on replacing the evaporator temp sensor - would that cause this problem as well as the icing up issue, or is their another problem as well?
TIA.

That would allow the troubleshooting from comfort of driver seat.
The system has 7 temp sensors plus pressure sensor and any defective sensor will kick the program out of balance.
That said, the computer has default programs. My newly purchased car shows 99C for refrigerant temperature while the system works very well, what I take as program having clear indication of sensor failure just went to default.
But if sensor malfunctions with big error, that will fool the program.

Cost me about $50 on ebay and 20 minutes of work.
Now I can test my system at 80 mph.
On mine I need to hold REST only, no need to push OFF

I find I have to set the left temp to 76 degrees to get the left vent temperature to rise above 40.
1. Is there a sensor controlling the vent temperature?
2. Kajtek1 mentioned installing a different HVAC panel that can read out diagnostics. I cannot get my manual to work, can you direct me to a DIY resource?
Thanks.
