hd_vato:

Hi, I like your AMG Bodykit:

1. Is it genuine AMG or replica (sorry no offense), but it does look nice.

2. can you post how much you spent for the body kit? if not, you can PM me.

3. do you use full exhaust AMG or just add the tips to it?

I have E500 and would like to change it to AMG style.

Thanks,

The bits are all AMG - The muffler kit came with black plastic stick-on that attaches to the rear apron just above tips.

I didn't apply it, not sure I want to.

I will post a complete parts list and cost later on.

Nice wheels!

Can you let us know which model and size they are? Haven't seen a set like that before. Also, where did you get them?
Thanks.

Here are all the details:

AMG Body Kit:

- Front Bumper: B6 603 6143 w/o washer & distronic $985.00
- Rear Bumper: B6 603 6147 $735.00
- Side Skirts: B6 603 6145 $741.00
- AMG Mufflers: B6 603 6142 $957.00
- Fog Light (L): 230-820-03-56 $210.00
- Fog Light (R): 230-820-04-56 $210.00
- Screen (middle): 211-885-11-53 $126.00
- Screen (R): 211-885-09-53 $30.00
- Screen (L): 211-885-10-53 $30.00
- Fasteners: 002-988-51-81 (qty 14) $45.00
- Fog Light pig tails (harness converter): A 211 540 81 09 (qty 2) $33.00

I ordered these parts from the dealer. I had to call around; most of the MB dealers are not interested in ordering AMG bits – go figure. The 'B' numbers are AMG specific and not MB part numbers. The parts person should be able to cross-ref them.

Wheels:

Rondell #73 $300/ea
Front: 18X8
Rear: 18X9

Here is their URL: http://rondell.de (It is all in German) I have not been able to find an English site. If you search on Rondell in Google, you will come up with an assortment of dealers. My local wheel and tire guy was able to get them for me.

Tires:
Front: 245/40 ZR18 Bridgestone S-03
Rear: 275/35 ZR18 Bridgestone S-03

Prep, paint, R&R: $1500.00
Install/weld mufflers: $100.00

One other thing

The exhaust note changed slightly (for the better in my opinion) with the new mufflers. It has a very slight sophisticated rumble to it.

Can I install same AMG bodykit as yours without replacing current muffler? Instead, I'll add tips only to the current exhaust. Please confirm.

FYI – If you don't wish to buy the AMG rear apron, the muffler kit comes with a template that you can lay over the stock apron and then cut out sections of the lower portion to accommodate the new mufflers.

Also comes with a nice set of instructions - they are written in German though.

Last week we made three cars, these are the pics of a stock E500 with AMG muffler

We just cut out the sections for the muffler. We also did two E240 like that.

Can you post more pics side and front of the car? How much for the bodykit only? Do you sell exhaust tips for OEM E500? i'd like to install ALL AMG BodyKit, but don't want to replace the current muffer with AMG muffer. Instead I'll use tips only... I heard that AMG muffler will create more rumble and I don't like that.

Well we just made the exhaust no bodykit. And it's just the end of the exhaust system, the four pippes and not the whole system. Every dealer should be able to order that.

These are the old ones.

did you have the dealer lower the car by the computer?

also, with your new tires bridgestone, do you have any left or right drifts?

BMW2MB,

>did you have the dealer lower the car by the computer?

No, I spent 2 large and went with the Kleemann lowering module.

>also, with your new tires bridgestone, do you have any left or right drifts?

Nope - tracks perfectly. Prior to the Bridgestone tire application, I had the car in to the dealer three different times for alignment.

First time: Dealer aligned, but still pulled right.

Second time: Dealer installed cam bolts and re-aligned - still pulled right.

Third time: Made the service manager drive it, he agreed it pulled right (no dah). Picked up the car to find that the dealer installed four brand new tires. The drift was gone. Dealer charged me $20 for the tire recycling.

I was able to make some $$$ when my tire guy bought my factory rims complete with brand new tires when I installed the Rondell's and Bridgestones.
