Need help!! W211 Active Curve Headlight problem
HI friends,
I found a problem on the 2006 W211 that active curve headlight (fog lamp) only triggered when turning right. While the headlight switched on, If the steering wheel turning right the right fog light. But when the steering wheel turning left, the left fog do not light.
This also happened when using the turn signal lamp lever. Only right fog light when the right turn signal activated. But when the left turn signal activated the left fog wont light.
They should working for both right and left turn according to the manual book.
1) How to scan and solve the problem.
2) How to activate / deactivate active curve headlight on W211 post 2004 model.

Well if you take it to the dealer, they can scan it and see what it says. I take it you're not getting any other error messages like the fog light is out or anything like that? I got ESC inoperative once and my active curve illumination was acting weird because of that.
If you're not in a big rush, I'd suggest getting the X431 Launch EasyDiag Plus on ebay, around $48 in the US. It comes from China so the pricing may be different in your country. But the plus version comes with software for 2 vehicle manufacturer and the Benz one works, beware of the cheaper one that doesn't come with any. I was able to pinpoint my problem with ESC to the steering angle sensor.
