My E320 got rear ended
most parts at the rear is crashed but it seems not that bad on the picture
the insurance company estimated that the repair cost will be over 7k
It can still be driven with a trunk that won't open
should I just sell it or fix it myself(if can be done under 4k)?
Since it only has under 70k miles on it, I really want to keep it
The right muffler is deformed

Is the car worth $7k? Howcome they don't total it?
You wouldn't have the picture of Toyota?

I can still drive it so that I can find a new car or get it fixed.

When Toyota hood folded to the level of its roof, the W210 had just bumper scratches.
The main fact at that accident was braking on both sides, so Toyota went under W210.
Can't find the pictures now, but that is pretty amazing.
You may want to consider advising your insurance of a possible claim, especially if you have an actual agent you can tell. If you have Geico, or Progressive, they will handle the claim and attempt to subrogate the city/muni. If you have a good agent, he can note your policy, and not actually turn it in, until you say so.
Don't be surprised if the Muni denies your claim. If he is taking a call on a serial rapist, etc. they can and will deny your claim.
Once I hit about 50-60% of your value, I'm totaling your ride. It won't get cheaper to fix, plus if you have loss of value and need a rental, it's not worth fixing.
That's a ton of structural work there, if you are going to try and keep the salvage, so think hard about that.
Your mileage may var...
