2008 E350 trunk power outlet disconnect

Should that zip tie be there?
Zip tie holding the wires to the clip is a bit more visible in this pic
Hi all,
I found this site while looking for a fix for my trunk not opening /3rd brake light issues. WHAT A TREMENDOUS HELP!! Opened up the drivers side trunk trim fairly easily but I ran into a snag. I'm having trouble disconnecting the power outlet. I know it should be fairly simple but I don't want to force it and break it. Can someone tell me precisely how to disconnect it? It seems like the should be some push in tabs that would help it pop out.

Old thread but I ran across this when searching for the same issue. Finally figured it out. It comes apart as shown in this picture.
