I know there is only one level sensor for the back. The shocks are said to be self leveling. I have had some leaking after being parked for weeks.

Now my drivers side runs 3/4 inch lower all the time in any setting. My pump does not run that much. Main reason I noticed is on hard high speed right turns I get the white up vist workshop. It's probably the only time the car is actually level. Is it the self leveling shock, the airbag or the leveling sensor. Even with a leak I would think it would level out at times.

I don't know how many miles are on your car but I would suspect mechanical. In other words, all of the bits and pieces in the rear are wearing. After 13 years, I would expect the rubber bushings to be on the way out.

At 99,000 miles I replaced inner bushings and the alloy control arms (non-replaceable outer bushing) and that, along with a calibration, put the car into proper alignment and improved the handling. In hindsight, I think I should have replaced every component while I had it apart. Still considering it....

I think full airmatic has sensor on each corner.
My wagon had only rear air with single sensor and it was standing one side 3/4" higher.
Read somewhere on European forum that MB allows for 21 mm differences, so 3/4"=19mm should be acceptable.

rear has only 1 sensor.

Check subframe bushes, also level of the front, uneven front will mean uneven back.

left and right on back has a difference of up to half inch

Watching this with hopeful anticipation of an answer. My front driver side is 1/2inch higher than the passenger. Rear driver side about an inch lower than the passenger rear. Good times. (Where's banging your head emoji)

You need some MB diag equipment. Everything height related is based off voltage. Since there's only 1 sensor in the rear something mechanical (someone already noted) is defective or not working as designed.

Don't think the ADS rear shocks are self leveling persay, those are there for damping purposes.

Front height is independently adjustable; each side has its own sensor. My right front was lower by 7/8"; calibrating the suspension has the front sides to within 1/4" of each other. Driving and parking the the car, then measuring, has the heights varying within a 1/4" to 3/8" range. While driving, the suspension will adjust height to +/- 10 mm of targeted ride height; so...that's about 3/4" of variation.

Rear suspension only has one sensor; after calibrating, they generally remain within 1/4" of each other.

like I said above, left hand side is lower than the right as standard, by about 1/4 to 1/2 inch. this is normal!
