e220cdi dont go over 3000 rpm

I was driving yesterday for about 200 km and it started to not respond to the speed pedal, even on the cruise control, it was not able to go more than 120-140 km/h

I think is the gearbox, it is not going more than 3000 rpm
after a while I turned off the engine and back on, and then it was perfectly running, taking speed as I wanted.

it has no check light on the dash, and I checked with dashcommand on iphone but no errors on the diagnostic

any idea what to check?

Your issue sounds like you may have set the max limit the car can go in your dashboard settings. Or it could be another engine related issue.

Check the port inlet shutoff motor in intake manifold, it will cause engine to set a DTC & limit rev to 3K if it gets clogged up by EGR soot.

please can you tell me how to check, maybe a picture??
I have cleaned the EGR 1 month ago and I saw a big difference on black smoke when speeding up, now it is clean, no smoke
