Transmission replacement Concern

Hi all,

I am having an issue with my 2004 E500 with a 722.901 transmission. I was wondering If a replacement 722.907 would fit in my vehicle?

Mahalo,

Erik ml

WDBUF70J14A423556. Im worried about the valve body too. I heard that I would have to take it to the mercedes dealership to flash. Would it be possible if I use my current valve body on a rebuilt 722.9?

Too many german broads
When my tranny went out the valve body was no good. The valve body from the replacement transmission could not be moved over. Had to pay for a new valve body with a used transmission.

Gotcha! thanks for your help I ordered a rebuilt 722.901 from a 06 S-class with a warranty. I'll try and stick with my current TCU and conductor plate as I think the issue was mainly a leak between the torque converter and bell housing, and some worn clutch bands. It was probably a stupid question to ask I just wanted to make sure I had the right version since a lot of transmissions for sale online were vague in the exact model number, most of them just say 722.9.
