car "floating" in rain 11 degree celcius
yesterday I had experienced something old and forgotten, last time was happening with an old mercedes from 1990
when accelerating and turning left the car has slippered for almost 1 meter, it was like drifting
the rain was just started ( 3-4 minutes) and the temperature was aprox 11 degrees celcius, so no ice
this situation was the same for about 20 minutes of rain, than it was not happening anymore - I understand, for sure this is the worst case of the rain, because the first moment the road it is getting dirt+rain= slippery, after 20 min maybe the rain has removed the dirt particles on the street and then it was only rain
my question is : is it normal with my w211 ? or I should check something ?
in dry weather it was fine, only on the old style pedestrian roads (with rocks) it was slipping before, but this should happen with all cars, right?

Between 130,000 to 150,000 kilometers, my car developed severe instability in the rain; I could not drive over 80 km/hr in the rain without the worry I would lose control of the car.
At 160,000 km, I rebuilt the suspension. There were multiple bad ball joints and a bad bushing in the front, worn bushings in the rear.
Prior to rebuild, the suspension would align under static conditions on the alignment rack but the suspension would shift under dynamic conditions on the highway. A symptom on my car was both the inside *and* outside tread of the tires were "peeling" or "chunking" bits of rubber. This was the case on three of the four tires. After approximately 11,000 kilometers on the tires, the tires were destroyed.
Rebuilt the suspension 33,000 kilometers ago; the tires look fine and the car tracks straight and true in the rain and wet.
Check your suspension.
"Standard and Comfort.
The difference is in Comfort the car will pull away in 2nd gear. Very useful where traction is compromised i.e. snow, gravel, sand...
Comfort also prevents the car from rolling back on steep hills and gives a higher reverse gear for easy maneuvering.
It's all in you owner's handbook"
so because it was not under those conditions anymore and it is just fine, driving, accelerating with no ESP alert, it is probably like mentioned above
