W211 Subwoofer
My 2006 E350 has a blown subwoofer in the rear deck. I would like some help in figuring out how to remove the old subwoofer and put a new OEM sub back in. Any suggestions are helpful (I'm new to forums

It's really quite easy.
If you can take the rear seat back rests off, it makes it a bit easier, but not necessary.
The rear parcel tray comes off and the subwoofer and 2 auxillary speakers (depending on what version of audio system is installed - Logic 7, etc) are in one molded unit.
You can get the full unit off eBay for as little as $75.
Plug off, replace unit, plug in and you're done.

Looks like a major PITA - I've decided to just disconnect the wires from my blown suboofer and add a powered BassLink sub in the trunk to avoid going though this mess.

Is the $250 just for labor, plus another $75 for a replacement unit from eBay?
That's $325, and you would have a nice factory looking setup, but for that much money you could install an aftermarket sub in the trunk and have much better sounding bass.
Seems many people here are less than thrilled with the OEM subwoofer's bass output.

Update***
I just wanted to update the thread. I ended up replacing the subwoofer myself. For future reference, use a flathead screwdriver to help the get headrests out.

It took me 4 hours. It sounds great now, no rattles with the bass all the way up
