Please help: 2007 E350 multiple systems are inoperative
I've 2007 E350 sport model. All of the sudden when I started the car in the morning, dash shows series of warning messages: SOS, SRS, BRAKE, SPEEDTRONIC, PRESAFE all are inoperative and steering wheel lost power-steering. Car ran fine previous night.
Car starts fine but radiator fan run at full speed. Took the car to dealer but he says car is not communicating to diag system and there may be some electrical failure. Batteries (main & aux) is fine. He said they did rest the car twice by disconnecting the battery but no use. Car is still with dealer and trying to figure out what exactly the problem.
Anyone heard or seen anything like this and share any info would be highly appreciated.

wheel speed sensors? alternator? is the belt on? that should be a easy fix with DAS.....
if you have speed sensitive steering maybe valve on rack is faulty? idk, your dealer sounds weak af.....

Though I have the 2007 Bluetec, I believe you are facing a similar issue as I did last year; all sorts of errors (similar to yours) popped up. With the vehicle in off postion, remove large connector from ABS module under the hood (passenger side), though easy, you need to know how to remove the connector else seek an expert. Use a contact cleaner (from Radio Shack or similar) to spray on and clean both connector and socket contacts; do not try to touch, bend or mishandle contact pins. Let the contact cleaner evaporate for a few minutes prior to reinstalling connector. I've never had a problem since.
I should have tried this before giving it to dealer. Yesterday dealer came back with a reason for these inoperable units, hard steering wheel and full speed radiator fan. Looks like all these are due to a/c push button control unit failure which needs to be replaced. It is costing me about 1200USD. I guess major chunk is for diagnosis of the problem? Car is still with dealer waiting for part. I will update once I see paper work and how the after repair car drives. Thank you all.
