Tires on E500 4matic
I just received my E500 4matic with the Sports Package (I think it may be called 'Appearance package' in the US).
The Canadian website states that with the optional Sport Package, the car will have 245/45R17 95W, high-performance tires, yet my car came with 245/45R17 95H performance tires. (ContiTouring CH95). Did anyone else have the same experience? Will MB address this issue ( I have contacted them). Any other comments?

SAME HERE, BUT I LIKE THEM. WERE OK IN 1ST SNOW JUST FACED AND CARS HANDLING IS AWESOME WITH AIRMATIC AND 4 MATIC........SO, NO COMPLAINTS!!!!! LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WITH MB.

They usually give Michelin Primacy tires. I've noticed that the more north that you are, the more likely that the Appearance Package tires will be the all-season tires. But the CH95's are horrible tires, and don't match the sporting nature of the Appearance Package at all.

I believe since it is a 4Matic they spec them with the Continentals rather than the Michelins. The appearance package notwithstanding. My 4Matic with Appearance also came with the CH95 tires.

Well, this is not what I expected or paid for...
I prefer to have very good summer tires for the summer and then buy winter tires. Since I am a PAYING customer that made an educated decision based on information available on the websites, on brochures and through discussions with multiple salesmen why should MB not deliver on their committments?
If MB decided to cut costs on the tires, then they should (a) notify the buyers, and (b) pass through the savings to the customer. Why do you spend $2500 on the sport package...b/c you want it to look better AND handle better.
So far I am not impressed with MB's response (...safety reason - totally BULL****). This is a minor issue on a car of >$100K Cdn that should be dealt with swiftly to the customer's satisfaction.
Beyond this issue the car is awesome!

That's interesting that MB Canada website still calls it Sports Package while in the States its now called Appearance Package. Also in the MB Canada website you can only get the Sports Package in the 4matic.
