Swap E350 engine with S500

Swap E350 engine with S500

Hi guys

i have an E350 model 2006 and i want to swap it with S500 2001 engine w220.
i already have the w220 engine plus transmission and ECU.

do you have any ideas about the work and is it possible?

You need to start THINKING about such project by finding DAS wizard, who will know how to reprogram the systems.
Is the donor having the same differential ratio?

Like every other time a swap like this gets posted... Yes it is possible, but 1000x cheaper to sell the E350 and the motor/trans and buy an E500.

I also heard about several junked project, where DIY after swapping the engine was not able to marry computers.

much less time and money to simply upgrade to an E500 if you are looking for V8 torque. Its not as easy as it seems because of systems compatibility, 2006 is way more advanced in regards to body, chassis and powertrain computer systems. 2001 M113 is way behind the curve (excellent motor though) - please keep us posted with whatever route you take.
