Hello guys so I turned in my radio the other day the cd/DVD player will play but I get no sound out of it,I turn it to am/fm and it says that it's unavailable can someone please give me a hand and help me out thnk you

No radio/music is an annoyance at most, not an emergency.
Wait.... are we going back to the days of pagers where you'd put 911 so that people would know it's important and call back right away?

I had a similar issue with my '03 W211, I believe. It was a while back so I don't remember the symptoms exactly. It ended up being the audio gateway module. The part is very spendy when buying new from the dealer (~$900) but I got one on ebay for around $100 or so. Have you been noticing your audio cutting out lately leading up to this? any static issues? As the gateway starts to fail, the fiber optic connection to the headunit may intermittently cut out and corrupt the signal, creating terrible record scratch/static sounds.
For me, the AGW was a drop in replacement and not terribly difficult, but keep in mind your radio settings are stored in it, so make note of your presets before you replace it if that's what you end up having to do.
