Muffler delete Cons

I have read so many posts and threads on it but nobody is still clear.
What are the problems that i have to face after a muffler delete? For cars like jaguar, after a muffler delete there will be lots of error codes that will show up, since this is german, what are the possible problems? My car is a 06' RWD E350.
if its a loss in performance, i guess the the fuel economy will increase lol ( correct me if im wrong) which is a plus point! apart from that what about backpressure? a guy at a shop said if i just did muffler delete and straight pipe it, the backpressure will kill my engine! Also i am having a very tiny whole before the left muffler probably 1mm or less. should i make it big to see the difference? (i know i will get alot of hate for this and i wont do it lol)

you need backpressure for low-end torque. Your car feel sluggish in the low-end RPM, it's also noisy. I dont think it's beneficial for an E Class.

noted.
so what about just a single muffler delete for the extra noise?
or saving up some cash and putting a custom made performance muffler or varex/ valvetronic mufflers or e-cutouts? again just for one side....

The only downside is noise.

There will be no power loss/gain from removing the mufflers, you don't "need backpressure", that's an old internet myth.

Are you sure you want your E350 to be loud? A v6 with the mufflers removed is far away from a v8, it's not always a sound that you will enjoy.

i know. i do have an e55 amg. e350 is my daily driver and also have a full e55 kit with the same exhaust... its a bit louder on higher revs.. need some road presence so want to make it a bit louder on lower revs too.
so i have been thinking about this.. check out my last comment

Please stay away from this useless mod. It's going to make you sick of driving because of the noise. Even BMW M cars have exhaust valve to reduce noise.

A loss of performance will result in poorer fuel economy, not greater. You'll be sticking your foot in it more to make up for the loss.

What year is your Harley?
