My e320 2006 diesel was having a malfunction; ecu communication with scanner but car was starting and running fine but with fans on all the time; preglow indicator was working normally. I removed all fuses from engine bay as well as relays and also unplugged the ECU (or ECM) to check for blwon fuse, corrosion, etc. I put all fuses back and relays as well as ecu but now preglow indicator doesn't show up when I insert thekey and turn it; all other warning lights come on; car doesn't start now. Not sure what went bad, if ECU, a blown fuse in another place related to glow plugs, glow plug module/relay, or what.
Why the preglow indicator wont' show up when inserting and turning key?

Did you pull all the fuses at the same time or one by one? I'd go through and verify you have the fuses back in the correct places.
