Hi every1
I got my engine oil changed this afternoon but i didn't know how much to put in my mechanic suggested i should put in 6 litres.
i used mobil 1 0w40 the cars 100k kms driven
but i was unsure about 6 litres but my mechanic added 6 litres
I thought its 5.5 litres as i read it somewhere
but however i got it changed and headed to work an hour later i was still thinking and i went and checked it was showing reduce oil
so i went back to my mechanic and got like 200 or 300 ml sucked out.
then it was still showing reduce oil but i went home as it was closing time and the mechanics had to go home. They asked me to come tomorrow. So i went home and parked it at a level place and allowed it to sit for 7 8 hours then i checked again. Its showing engine oil level ok.
but in the hidden menu it says oil level 8.2 l and im shocked now thinking whats wrong. The oil got drained outta the bottom not sucked. the car was at a level place while draining. I'll add pics to show u guys the current situation after the cars been sitting for 7 8 hours. Thanks in advance for the helpers.

You always will have some oil trapped in valve valley and other cavities that you will not change.
6.5 l added v/d 8.2 showing is a big difference, but your bottom lane is oil level.
Don't overthink the issue. Recheck the level on warm engine after having car stop for few minutes.

Relax. At least you are not like the guy in W163 section on other forum, who had a friend helping him with engine oil change.
He come to the forum crying why his car with engine running fine after oil change would not move.
Long story short, he ended up with empty transmission and 16 l of oil in crankcase.
