In any event, whether using the car's computer or the actual miles/gallons pumped method, my 06 E320CDI gets incredible mileage for a 4,000 pound car. I drive it mostly between Tucson and Phoenix which is about 100+ miles on pretty flat desert. At 80 mph the computer says I'm getting about 40 mpg. Tried it a little slower at 77 mph the last time and computer said 43 mpg. Car has 90,000 miles on it.

Perhaps its my 19" wheels and low profile tires, I average 28mpg on mine, seems low compared to others. Anyone getting higher mpg on 19's?

Have you verified the accuracy using a GPS to make sure the odometer reads correctly? If you have tires that are larger diameter than stock you'll be off and your INDICATED mileage will be lower.

No I have not since it did not bother me. 16" stock tires ran 807 rev/mile while 19's I'm using are 818 rev/mile, a mere 1.5% difference.
