Tail light issue! Need help
I have a 03 e320 and one day out of no where the tail lights malfunctioned. Everything that works on the left side doesnt work on the right side and reverse lights dont work at all. Also sometimes the right side brake light stays on even with no key in the ignition and lifhts turned off. I have to disconnect battery so it doesnt drain it

there an issue with your twilight connection. You might have to check the harness see if it loose or corroded contacts on them.

I checked the harness and scrapped each connector befpre didnt fix. The same time that this started to happen my trunk no longer opens with fob or from the button inside the car i have to manually open it with hard key. Doeant explain why the passenger brake light stays on.

I read the fuse location paprr and nothing had anything directly for tail lights. They bridge them through the modules im assuming. I dont have the tool nor knowledge to check the sam mod. Im assuming its under the floor board

EGS or transmission computer is under the floor board passenger side. I mean the Sam fuse holders underneath the bonnet, or at ur spare wheel compartment. I would recommend u to buy a diagnostic tool, so it can pin point the fault. Maybe it needs a reset. Even if u disconnect the battery fault codes are written and stored.

It may be the ground wiring of the trunk is damaged.
