Just a few questions
I recently acquired a 2006 E350 AMG Sport Package and just had a few questions.
1. I have the AMG Sport package and I want to replace the front bumper. I would really appreciate a part number for the appropriate bumper. BTW it has headlamp washers
2. My car has the AMG Sport Package along with a gearshift that says sport on it. However, I don't have Airmatic. Since it doesn't have the air suspension, is the sport package just a cosmetic difference or does it have driving attributes that are different from the standard E350?
3. I've sat in one that has the rippled door panels and mine however has the long stitching with what I presume is MB-Tex. From what I know, the rippled door panels indicate the car has leather upholstery but the one in my car is much softer. Am I missing something here?
Thanks

I've located the correct bumper after some research online. Mine doesn't have the chrome gearshift surround, only the knob. So I believe it is a standard 350 with the sport look and is indeed MB-Tex which is funny because it feels more plush than the leather ones.

Post your VIN or PM konigstiger with it. Some of these guys can run it and find all the options that your car came equipped with.

I'd be more inclined to believe you just have a sport package and not AMG sports package. Pretty sure there no was amg package in 2006 for the E's. Airmatic I believe was standard in the 550 not 350. The only difference are what konigstiger stated, mostly cosmetic. The sport suspension and +1 size wheel makes the ride a tad stiffer. And yes, the ruffled/ripple door panels do indicate real leather. MB has gotten fairly good at imitating leather with mb-tex so it's not uncommon to hear one say they can't notice the difference.
