Sunman,
When you say all 2005 cars are pre-wired, do you just mean E class or others such as the SL?

I have a v.600 and my objective is to interface it via UHI or bluetooth to the steering wheel and Comand controls in my upcoming 05 E500.

Yeah, my dealer too. I had to show them stuff from the Internet about UHI. They'd never heard of it -- and they are generally decent. They did agree to retrofit UHI when it becomes available at a cost no higher that what it would have been from the factory, but nobody seems to know when/if MB is bringing UHI to the US. One alternative I've considered is getting the parts from Europe and installing them. If its plug-in to the existing wiring and compatible without any other mods, I don't see why it couldn't be done.

Questions
Does UHI include Bluetooth?
The UHI announcement was initially made in conjuction with Motorola. Are Motorola phones included?
Does UHI include an antenna? If so, is that antenna set the European GSM frequencies and not the US GSM or CDMA frequencies? Or does it use the phone's antenna?
Thanks,
David

Search this forum about UHI and you might find a lot more information about it.
Like that you CAN retrofit it NOW to your car. I believe Sunman already has done this! Steve (MBenzNL) also has the parts for it.
