4-Matic Transfer Case Drain Plugs Frozen

This issue is common when steel plugs are installed in aluminum or magnesium casings with no anti-seize on the threads. I've been soaking the plugs with Kroil brand penetrant to hopefully free them up.
I've got the right fluid I hope and will probably use the "inspection" hole fill. I have read contrasting fill procedures. One that case should be filled slightly above the inspection port and one that says until it just drains out. I'll probably just fill it up until it wants to pour out and force a little more in there and quickly install the plug.
The other lingering web discussions are to use fluid MB 001989230310 or 311. All I could find is the 310. I read that the 311 is a discontinued 5 liter

After filling, should I do some figure 8's to disperse the new fluid through out the casing? I would assume you would want the new fluid to saturate the internal clutches.
