W211 Bushings / Tie Rods

Ok gents. I'm at standstill.. Need some HELP

Installed K-Mac camber bushings 3 years ago. Rears lasted less than two years. fronts are at 3 years and need replacement.

Rears replaced with renntech ($$$). WHAT is to be done about fronts? Can anyone recommend a solid company?

Also, want to add tie rods for some stability in the rear. Anyone chime in on this one?

Why not just stick to OEM replacement parts? They seem to be pretty reliable.

They do not make OEM camber bushings for our cars, there is a slight camber adjustment but not to the degree needed when the car is lowered..

RE: W211 Bushings / Tie Rods

Hi Tony,

Yes can see need to restore faith. Please contact and will supply you very latest front “state of the art” kit.

Unfortunately you have already invested in a rear substitute which would presume Camber and extra Toe was 4 times the price of the genuine K-MAC!

K-MAC being the actual inventors of both the front and rear adjustable bushing kits (we innovate not immitate) to suit all Mercedes models 1968 to 2017 - this along with constant ongoing advancements in design concepts/breakthroughs does put us in the spotlight.

But much rather this then immitating other designs ( sitting on the fence, doing nothing flawlessly ).

Background with the rear (Camber and extra Toe) kits is that they have been well and truly proven - Basic bushing design in production now since 1993. Then we revolutionized the way bushings are adjusted - prior was the time consuming and inaccurate method of bush removal then re positioning to a new setting. With the new K-MAC patented invention - it is now "precisely" single wrench adjustable - on car accurately (under load) direct on alignment rack!

Reviewing failures over this 24 year period it is always lack of 100% nut tightening (Industry standard worldwide is lock nuts depending on reverse teeth and friction to hold).

2 years ago we invented a lock tab method - where it is impossible for a nut to inadvertently loosen. No matter if it is not 100% tightened!

Another design breakthrough in last 2 years is a lock system for "alloy" airmatic arms where again impossible for any unwanted movement - See rear diagram attached

The K-MAC rear adjustable bushing kits are not only the strongest but also provide the biggest adjustment range (which is essential if vehicle is other then at showroom height).

WHILE WITH THE FRONT “CAMBER AND CASTER” KITS - constant ongoing development here also. We have always been heavily involved in motorsport. All out 10/10ths competition racing to fast track/prove all our suspension products. Stress loads not experienced in daily commuting . Situations in heavy V8 racing where Race Safety Scrutineers constantly checking / evaluating brands - rule K-MAC and only K-MAC adjustable bushings are allowed to be used. We have evolved mono ball design bushings that have up to 4 times the load bearing area of other brands!

Along with the design technology that comes with manufacturing aftermarket performance bushings longer than anyone else ( now in our 53rd year) and constantly at the forefront re use of the very latest elastomers for extended bush life. AGAIN REVIEWING FAILURES HERE - load bearing / extended life is not on issue. It revolves around bush distortion when after “newfound Camber adjustment facility installed” Caster is over adjusted – see Front Caster instruction diagram attached, causing excessive side loading (OEM Caster is 10 to 12 degrees Pos.).

RE: Rear Tie Rods - Another popular kit manufactured is uprated replacement bushings (12) for the ‘6’ multi link rear arms. Providing significant improvement to rear end stability, less twitch/flex, improved traction especially when applying power to lane change/overtake.
