2000 ml320 shop added wrong fluid in transmission

Had a transmission flush. They added half correct fluid and the other half of the fluid was red transmission fluid. Wrong fluid. Several months since the service and the transmission won't shift out of first gear. Can this be corrected with a correct fluid flush. I am going to look at the ML320 and pull codes to see if there are any. I know there will be codes. Not my car

So this person knew the wrong fluid was put in and then still drove it for months?

That symptom you describe does not sound like a fluid type issue. maybe conductor plate. Have it scanned with a proper SDS computer and it might point you in the right direction. Good Luck and please keep us posted on what the repair was. Cheers..
