Ecu and eis change
i have a w211 with a bad ecu, so i took the ecu and eis and the gear level, from the donor car, but the key wont turn, do i need more parts from the donor car?

Both are a 2003 model, 220cdi

You sound familiar------did you test the donor crap to be free of faults and whos key are you trying to use?

Your best bet is find someone with Xentry who will be able to quickly determine the problem area.
PS. What you have done is not a plug and play situation, yea I know you read in all the HS forums it's easy!!

You might need to wipe the ecu first

If All parts from a donor car u don't need to virgin ecu.
