Keyless go for trunk handle

I think I read that the keyless go sensors reside in each door handle, but what about the trunk? My keyless go will no longer open or lock the trunk handle. Is this as simple as replacing the trunk handle, or something more involving?

That is correct that the keyless entry sensors are in the door handles. I'm not sure about the trunk either though.

I'd have to look it up, there's a sensor in the rear to locate the key but I don't know if it's in the latch itself, probably just in the trunk lid somewhere. I'll try to remember to check tomorrow and post a pic if I can find one.

You can do an antenna test with SDS to see if they are all working.

All other doors, and ignition still operate as intended. If there's just a sensor that's even better.

Best bet, pull fault codes using MB DAS. If steadfast on working through the system without doing so, see attachments and http://workshop-manuals.com/mercedes...er/page_18335/

For anyone reading this in the future, the sensor is located inside the rear bumper cover. Some jackwagon apparently worked on my car in the past and did not reattach it, but rather stuffed it inside some bracing. Luckily for me it did not fall out, and I was able to refasten it to the bumper cover. It's on the left (driver's side in North America) side of the bumper cover, just above the tail pipes.

After putting it back, the keyless go works fine again.

Specific pictures are in the infallible @konigstiger's "KG" document above: specifically page 31.
