Throttle/rev problem after 5 min driving

Hello all. I am new to the forums and quite new to cars.

CAR: W211, 2003 E270 CDI, 270000km

What was done recently: the car had egr valve cleaned, intake manifold flaps engine replaced (small part, used, for about 40eur) - engine to move the flaps i mean.
Before the repairs the car had completely no power, 1st gear revs to 2.5k and thats it. Other gears lower than that and throttle response is poor.
no check engine light.

My recent symptoms: start the car up, drive 5-6 minutes and 70% or the time, after those 5-6 minutes, the car jerks a little bit (as if you would be out of fuel), and then any throttle pedal movement basically gives an extremely small amount of power and same symptoms as before.

no check engine light.

The service tech expects intake manifold flaps problem - replace the whole manifold

the service tech now disconnected the egr valve as well as they were getting both air amount code and the egr valve code.
And now the car has full power all the time but check engine light is on, of course.
Anyone had similar symptoms?
Could rhis be simply a bad egr?

Dear Plutoe,
Thank you. So you too agree that this is an egr and not a intake manifold problem?

CDI control unit is putting car into a pseudo limp mode that governs engine's RPM to not exceed 3K though doesn't always trigger CEL so real-time OBDII data should be monitored to reveal which codes come up during operation. I suspect positioning motor of swirl flaps is intermittently binding but could be VNT (variable-nozzle turbo) related also or air intake sensor or EGR damage. Understand this car is heavily dependent on computerized components to run so need a computer that can talk to it for proper diagnosis. A bootleg SDS system off Alibaba will pay for itself with 1st use as it eliminates diagnostic fee dealer of mechanic will charge to use theirs.
