Update: I've been using this unit (now called Mr 12volt) for about 3 months for listening to music and phone calls. I use spotify and a LG V20 dedicated to music and a iphone SE for phone calls. The Mr 12V/ LA Power/chenison unit allows both of my phones to be paired at the same time. The Bluetooth sound quality is very good. The command screen and steering wheel display the correct tract info but no artist. It allows you to scroll to the next tract or back. It pairs right up and will automatically start (if spotify is open) where the last song playing was stopped. The phone mic works well and I'm told it's very clear. Every once in awhile the phone book won't load. Which is not a problem since I make phone calls hands free with siri. The factory phone buttons work on the command and steering wheel. The incoming calls interrupt the music and caller is herd clearly on all the speakers. Hang up and the music starts where it was interrupted. The unit does what i need it to and for me it was worth the extra $ to have integration into the command.

Im confused where u said that your phone button controls on the steering works. I thought they didn’t since the unit just simulates the cd changer feature.
also I posted a photo bout the product. You said it’s called now Mr 12volt. Just curious. Thanks in advance. Willing to buy.

Yes, incoming calls are answered by the steering wheel button or the ok button on the head unit. You can hang up with the steering wheel or the "END" button. I'll try to do a video tomorrow.

You may want to keep the one in the car. It has a thermo-controlled fan that was used to cool the the cd player. This thing can get warm/hot, that little fan kicks on, even during the winter.
I would also suggest that you update the firmware on your command to the last update.

It's the same unit with different names. Yes, it replaces the multi CD changer and plugs into the fiber optic MOST system. Integrating into the comand using the CD changers fiber optic plug. I have the 3.5mm jack also, I just wanted some thing that is truly hands free for phone and has Bluetooth for music. It's a Chinese Dension unit.

Hi
I have had this unit installed in my '04 C class (W203). I have the Comand with the CD changer in the glovebox. The CD changer has been removed and Mr 12 Volt connected via the CDC's fibre plug.
When I select the CDC option on the COMAND screen, it comes up with a No Audio CD message and no sound from the bluetooth device. I can successfully connect to the device via Bluetooth (Car Kit) but there is no sound from the COMAND.

Yes a few times, on the La Power device the bluetooth LED is lit but not the CDC one. There were three wires connected to the CD changer (red, black and blue), the LA Power required only the red and black wires to power on.
I am not sure what the blue cable was for however the COMAND unit does recognise there is a CDC device connected.

I would try to reconnect the CD player and make shore it works. Then turn off the head unit and swap in the LA Power unit and try again. I had to do this when it became unrecognized. Then I updated the software for my head unit and haven't had a problem since.

Did you already have telephone installed/activated? I have phone pre-installation but not installed. Will I have to have this enabled for the phone buttons to work?

I’m considering this device to replace the CD Changer in my SL55. Are you guys able to play music (Spotify) through an iPhone connected via usb lightning cable? If so, does anything show on COMAND screen?
I want to be able to play music and charge the phone simultaneously.
